LG (VX) 8100

The LG 8100 is an EV-DO, 1.3 megapixel camera, video, mp3 stereo music, bluetooth and miniSD capable phone.  More importantly, it supports Java J2ME MIDP 2.0.  Most newer phones are Dial Up Networking (DUN) enabled to allow your laptop to access the Internet and this phone is no exception.

Installation Info

Unfortunately, this phone is somewhat restricted by the telephone company that sold it.  The bluetooth is disabled so it could not be synced with BitPim.  As well, we could not access an external wap site to download MoblaPoker.  If you are able to do either then you will save the hassle of buying a USB data cable.

  1. If you can not access your phone through bluetooth using BitPim or can not go to a wap site outside of your telephone provider's selected sites then you will need a USB data cable.  Click here to search for sites that sell the cable.  If you can go to any wap site then try download our Java JAD file from http://www.moblasystems.com/wap.wml .  Once you have the cable, follow the instructions to connect your phone to your computer.
  2. Download BitPim to install our Java game onto your phone through the USB cable or bluetooth connection.
  3. Download the MoblaPoker JAD and JAR files.
  4. Follow these instructions on Howard Forums to install the JAD and JAR file.
  5. Enable DUN using these instructions on Howard Forums to allow data packets from the MoblaPoker client to our server.  Note: if you are from Canada and using Telus then you must change your NAI from This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
